ABOUT US

The conservation connection
We take our name from Dr. Neil Compton, conservationist, physician, and protector of the Buffalo River. His legacy remains woven throughout our hotel and our programming. Be sure to visit Compton Gardens & Arboretum during your visit; just a short stroll from the hotel, this peaceful seven-acre haven was Dr. Compton's home for many years and now showcases the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Ozarks.
